1. because everybody hears sounds differently, it is impossible to describe the sound of the drums. But of course the bigger the drum, the deeper and richer the sound from the drum is. Anything larger than a 1.4 shaku drum makes a very deep and wonderful sound.
2. As some of the drums are rather large, please take care in ordering your drum. Please consider where you will store your drum!

Answer:Of course all the drums are new products. The drums are made from natural products ( wood, leather ) so sometimes coloration may very. This is a natural occurrence and is not an indication of having been used or old.

Question:I want a drum that sounds good...how do I decide which one is the best for me?
Answer:If you have the storage space, a bigger drum makes a deeper and more beautiful sound. However not everyone has so much space. But always keep in mind that if you want a smaller drum, you should try to get one that is closer to the 1.4 shaku size.
